OUR STATE-APPROVED PRIVATE SCHOOLS OFFER HIGH-QUALITY SPECIAL EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-21 WITH MULTIPLE PHYSICAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES FOR 219 PROGRAM DAYS. SINCE 1956 WE HAVE PROVIDED AN ARRAY OF COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO ADDRESS THE WHOLE CHILD, ENSURING THEY DISCOVER AND DEVELOP THEIR INDIVIDUAL STRENGTHS AND ABILITIES USING ALL THE TECHNOLOGY, SUPPORTS, AND ACCOMMODATIONS THEY REQUIRE. WE SERVE CHILDREN THROUGHOUT MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTIES, AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS. EACH STUDENT'S PROGRAM IS INDIVIDUALIZED AND BASED UPON THEIR INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION PLAN (IEP) WHICH IS DEVELOPED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FAMILY AND THE DISTRICT CHILD STUDY TEAM.THE SCHOOLS ARE PART OF LADACIN NETWORK, INC., AN ORGANIZATION THAT UTILIZES A TRANSDISCIPLINARY PHILOSOPHY TO DELIVER SERVICES. OUR TEAM FOLLOWS THIS UNIQUE TRANSDISCIPLINARY APPROACH WHICH ENCOMPASSES THE MEDICAL (INCLUDING NURSING AND VARIOUS CLINICS), EDUCATIONAL (SPECIALIZED CURRICULUM), THERAPEUTIC (OCCUPATIONAL, PHYSICAL AND SPEECH THERAPY), AND SOCIAL ASPECTS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S DEVELOPMENT.ALL SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE IN PERSON AND REMOTELY.
PROVIDED EDUCATION AND THERAPY TO ADULTS WITH MULTIPLE PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. PROGRAMS PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL, VOCATIONAL, SOCIAL, THERAPEUTIC, AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN ATTRACTIVE, BARRIER FREE ENVIRONMENTS FOR ADULTS WITH MULTIPLE PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. VOCATIONAL TRAINING POSSIBILITIES INCLUDE FOOD SERVICE, COMPUTER/OFFICE SKILLS, DOCUMENT SCANNING, MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAL SKILLS, AND CHILD CARE. EVALUATION AND TRAINING IN THE USE OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY IS INTEGRATED INTO THE PROGRAMS. PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, AND SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPY MAY BE PROVIDED AS COMPONENTS OF A TRANSDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO SERVICE DELIVERY. RESIDENTIAL OPTIONS CONSIST OF 9 LOCATIONS, 6 GROUP HOMES, 2 SUPPORTED/SUPERVISED APARTMENTS AND 1 INDEPENDENT LIVING APARTMENT COMPLEX. THESE LOCATIONS PROVIDE 24/7 RESIDENTIAL CARE TO 87 ADULTS WITH MULTIPLE PHYSICAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. PERSONAL ASSISTANT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE TENANTS IN THEIR RESIDENCE. ALL RESIDENCES ARE ACCESSIBLE AND BARRIER FREE. WHEELCHAIR EQUIPPED VEHICLES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT EACH RESIDENCE TO ASSIST TENANTS WITH ATTENDING DAY PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY INTEGRATION ACTIVITIES, AND MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS. THESE PROGRAMS ARE SUBSIDIZED BY FUNDS AVAILABLE FROM HUD AND NJ DHS.
