HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF JOHNSON COUNTY IS A NONPROFIT CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION THAT WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES UNDER THE CONVICTION THAT EVERY PERSON SHOULD HAVE A SIMPLE, DECENT, AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE IN SAFETY AND DIGNITY.

BEGAN CONSTRUCTION ON AN ADDITIONAL HOME IN JOHNSON COUNTY FOR A QUALIFYING FAMILY AND CONTINUED TO REACH OUT TO AREA FAMILIES IN NEED AND MAINTAINED TWO PRIMARY EVENTS FOR FUNDRAISING. WE ALSO EDUCATED THE COMMUNITY ON THE MISSION SET FORTH BY GIVING PRESENTATIONS TO NUMEROUS CHURCH CONGREGATIONS, YOUTH GROUPS, SERVICE CLUBS, CHAMBER MEETINGS, TRADE ORGANIZATIONS, CIVIC GROUPS, AND LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS, AND EXPANDED OPERATIONS OF A RESTORE FACILITY WHICH SELLS DONATED BUILDING MATERIALS AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO THE PUBLIC AT DISCOUNTED PRICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING AND ENHANCING THE ORANIZATION'S MISSION.
