BROWN COUNTY'S HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (HCV) PROGRAM - PROVISION OF LOW-INCOME RENTAL ASSISTANCE TO AN AVERAGE OF 2,850 HOUSEHOLDS PER MONTH IN 2023. STABLE HOUSING ALLOWS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO FOCUS ON IMPROVING LIFE SKILLS AND BECOMING A CONTRIBUTING MEMBER OF SOCIETY.
(1) MANAGEMENT OF RELATED PARTY ORGANIZATION (MIRMAR PROPERTIES, INC. AND BAY OAKS).(2) THE LADDER OF HOPE IS UNIQUELY DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN FILLING GAPS THAT EXIST IN SOCIETY BETWEEN GOVERNMENT SUPPORT AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY. FROM PROVIDING BASIC NEEDS ITEMS IN OUR PANTRY (FOOD AND HYGIENE PRODUCTS), EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO CLIENTS, AND COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, TO SPIRIT-LIFTING OPPORTUNITIES.
BROWN COUNTY'S FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM - PROVISION OF THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM WHICH OVER TIME AND WITH SIGNIFICANT COMMITMENT FROM CLIENTS CAN HELP CLIENTS REACH A POINT WHERE THEY ARE NO LONGER RECEIVING ANY PUBLIC-FUNDED ASSISTANCE. AT THE CONCLUSION OF 2023, THERE WERE 68 PARTICIPANTS IN THE FSS PROGRAM. THE HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM GIVES CLIENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THEIR OWN HOME. AT YEAR END 2023, TOTAL OF HOMEOWNERS WERE 53.
INTEGRATED COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS, INC. (ICS) ADMINISTERS THE WHEDA HCS PROGRAM. THE PROGRAMS ARE CONTRACTED THROUGH THE WISCONSIN HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. IN 28 COUNTIES IN WISCONSIN (27) AND MICHIGAN (1), ICS ADMINISTERS 1,336 WHEDA HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS.
