TAKEACTION MINNESOTA IS A MULTI-ISSUE ORGANIZATION WORKING TO UNITE THE POWER OF DIVERSE INDIVIDUALS, COMMUNITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS IN ACTIVE GRASSROOTS DEMOCRACY THAT BUILDS RACIAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE. WE ARE CONSTANTLY WORKING TO MAKE MINNESOTA A STATE WHERE EVERYONE CAN THRIVE. THIS YEAR, TAKEACTION MINNESOTA HAS BEEN ABLE TO BUILD WITH MINNESOTANS ACROSS THE STATE TO CHANGE THE CONVERSATION, BUILD PUBLIC SUPPORT, AND LAY A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR BUILDING A STATE WHERE EVERYONE CAN THRIVE. WE OPERATE WITH ONE EYE ON IMMEDIATE CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES, SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE STATE AS THEY LEAD LOCAL CAMPAIGNS TO ADVANCE RACIAL, ECONOMIC, AND GENDER JUSTICE, AND ONE EYE ON THE HORIZON, AS WE ENACT LONG-TERM PLANS TO BUILD STATEWIDE POWER. WE WON RENT CONTROL BALLOT INITIATIVES IN BOTH MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. PAUL. WE INVESTED DEEPLY IN THE ST. PAUL CAMPAIGN, INCLUDING SERVING ON THE STEERING COMMITTEE AS THE CAMPAIGN FORMED, COLLECTING SIGNATURES AND CONTACTING VOTERS, ORGANIZING A COALITION FUNDRAISER FOR THE EFFORT, AND BECOMING THE FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION: HOUSING EQUITY NOW ST. PAUL (HENS). WE HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT STRIDES IN BUILDING OUT AN ONGOING FIELD INFRASTRUCTURE USING DEEP CANVASS AND A VOTER LADDER OF ENGAGEMENT THAT INVESTS IN VOTERS TO MOVE THEM FROM BEING UNREGISTERED OR INFREQUENT VOTERS ALL THE WAY TO BEING MOVEMENT POLITICS VOTERS. AS OUR ORGANIZING MODEL EVOLVES, WE CONTINUE TO EXPERIMENT WITH STRATEGIES FOR DIGITAL ORGANIZING, DEEP CANVASSING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND OTHER OBJECTIVES.
