HIGH PLAINS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (HPCDC) IS A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NON-PROFIT WORKING TO IMPROVE THE ECONOMY IN EASTERN NEW MEXICO. HIGH PLAINS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION SUPPORTS AND HOSTS CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE WITHIN THE REGION. HIGH PLAINS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PREPARES FUTURE LEADERS FOR THE WORKFORCE BY EMPOWERING THEM IN CAREER EDUCATION, WORKPLACE READINESS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND LINKING PEOPLE WITH LIFELONG OPPORTUNITIES. DRAGGIN MAIN - PROMOTING THE RICH HISTORY OF 50'S AND 60'S THROUGH MUSIC AND ANTIQUE VEHICLES IN CLOVIS. THE 6 DAY EVENT BRINGS PEOPLE OF ALL AGES OUT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ARTS AND CULTURE HISTORY OF CLOVIS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.


ASPCA SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM - THE ASPCA SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM HOSTS EDUCATIONAL BOOTHS AT AREA EVENTS AND HELPS WITH LOW INCOME SPAY AND NEUTER OF PETS TO REDUCE THE EUTHANASIA RATE AT REGIONAL ANIMAL SHELTERS. THE PROGRAM IS OPERATED BY A VOLUNTEER GROUP OF DEDICATED ANIMAL LOVERS.


SMOKE ON THE WATER - ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES THORUGH MUSIC, FUN AND GAMES.


NORMAN AND VI PETTY EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM - THE MUSEUM PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL TOURS RELATED TO THE RICH MUSIC HISTORY OF CLOVIS. THE MUSEUM HOSTS TOURS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AND LOCAL AND REGIONAL STUDENTS. THE MUSEUM OFFERS A 20-MINUTE HISTORY VIDEO AND EXHIBITS THAT HONORS THE MUSIC HISTORY OF BUDDY HOLLY, WAYLON JENNINGS, BUDDY KNOX, THE FIREBALLS, NORMAN AND VI PETTY TRIO AND OTHER GROUPS WHO RECORDED MUSIC IN CLOVIS.
