NAMI-GREATER CLEVELAND IS DEDICATED TO EMPOWERING PERSONS AFFECTED BY MENTAL ILLNESS, AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, TO ACHIEVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE BY PROVIDING THEM WITH MUTUAL SUPPORT, PRACTICAL INFORMATION, REFERRAL, ADVOCACY AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES.

IN 2022, NAMI GREATER CLEVELAND, NAMI GC SERVED 9,590 PEERS, FAMILY MEMBERS, AND INDIVIDUALS FROM THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY COMMUNITY. THIS WAS A 48% INCREASE OVER PROGRAM NUMBERS IN 2021. ALL PROGRAMS SAW A PARTICIPANT INCREASE. ADDITIONALLY, WE ENDED THE YEAR WITH OVER 70 VOLUNTEERS ENGAGED IN PROVISION OF PROGRAMS AND OUTREACH TO THE COMMUNITY. PER THE INDEPENDENT SECTOR, THE ESTIMATED VALUE OF ONE VOLUNTEER HOUR WAS 29.17, AND OUR VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED OVER 4,000 HOURS OF THEIR TIME. FINANCIAL SUPPORT WAS PROVIDED THROUGH PRIVATE DONATIONS, BUSINESSES, AND CORPORATIONS, PRIVATE AND CORPORATE FOUNDATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT GRANTS.
