OVER 500,000 BENEFIT FROM COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS OFFERED BY MHA INCREASING THE HEALTH LITERACY OF THE REGION'S LANDSCAPE AND PROMOTING OVERALL WELLNESS FOR ALL. OUR WEBSITE, FACEBOOK PAGE, AND NEW PODCAST FOR BUILDING RESILIENCE AMONG FIRST RESPONDERS SERVES OVER 500,000+
MHA PROVIDES DIRECT SERVICE PROGRAMMING TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS TO APPROXIMATELY 500 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY VIA FREE COUNSELING, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS, AND PROTECTIVE PAYEE SERVICES. THESE SERVICES HELP PREVENT THE NEED FOR COSTLIER SERVICES, PROTECT FROM HOMELESSNESS, AND PROVIDE A PATH TO INCREASED STABILITY.
MHA RECRUITS, TRAINS, CERTIFIES, AND EMPLOYS PEER SUPPORT SPECIALISTS/PEER RECOVERY SUPPORTERS TO USE THEIR LIVED EXPERIENCE TO HELP OTHERS ACHIEVE RECOVERY. CERTIFIED PEERS SERVE INDIVIDUALS WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS WITH FOCUS ON HEALTH, HOME, PURPOSE, AND COMMUNITY. WE PROVIDE TRAINING TO APPROXIMATELY 250 PEERS ANNUALLY AND PROVIDE CERTIFIED PEER SUPPORT TO OVER 1,000 ADULTS AND FAMILIES ANNUALLY.
