THE NE COMMUNITY CENTERS FOCUS IS ON HELPING FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS ACHIEVE WELLNESS, RECREATIONAL, LEARNING, AND CULTURAL GOALS, WHILE BEING PART OF A DIVERSE, WELCOMING COMMUNITY.

NECC S 2022 COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM HAS THREE COMPONENTS 1 - NECC PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES, WITHOUT REGARD TO ABILITY TO PAY. IN 2022, THE NECC PROVIDED 64,822 IN DIRECT ASSISTANCE. 2 - NECC PARTNERS WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO ENHANCE SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOTH ORGANIZATIONS. 3 - NECC PROVIDES SPACE FOR OTHER NON-PROFIT AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, LEVERAGING THE UTILITY OF THE NECCS UNIQUE FACILITY.


THE NECC FEATURES A YEAR-ROUND INDOOR WARM WATER POOL MAINTAINED AT A TEMPERATURE COMFORTABLE FOR CHILDREN, SENIORS, AND PARTICIPANTS WITH MOBILITY CHALLENGES. THE NECC OFFERED SWIM LESSONS FOR ALL AGES, FOLLOWING THE RED CROSS CURRICULUM WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING INCIDENTS OF DROWNING. DURING THE SAME PERIOD THE NECC OFFERED ADULT LAP SWIM AND EXERCISE CLASSES, INCLUDING WATER FITNESS, ARTHRITIS EXERCISE, SENIOR EXERCISE AND DEEPWATER WORKOUT. IN 2022 THE JUMP START SWIM PROGAM WAS INTRODUCED TO PROVIDE SWIM LESSONS FOR UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS.


THE NECC OFFERS A VARIETY OF SPORTS, ART, DANCE AND ENRICHMENT CLASSES FOR YOUTH. THE NECC PROVIDED 10 WEEKS OF SUMMER DAY CAMP, INCORPORATING COVID PROTOCOLS. THE NECC ALSO PROVIDED AFTER SCHOOL TIME DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.
