RADIUS BOOKS IS A SANTA FE BASED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE GOAL IS TO MAKE A LASTING IMPACT THROUGH OUR PUBLISHING AND DONATION PROGRAMS. SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 2007, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PRODUCED OVER 170 TITLES AND DONATED OVER 80,000 BOOKS TO LIBRARIES, SCHOOLS AND ART PROGRAMS IN ALL 50 STATES. THE DONATION PROGRAM AIMS TO BRING DIVERSE ARTISTIC VISIONS AND VOICES INTO THE HANDS OF AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE, PARTICULARLY STUDENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS. TWICE A YEAR, IN THE SPRING AND FALL, LOCAL STUDENTS AND MEMBERS OF THE WIDER SANTA FE COMMUNITY JOIN THE ORGANIZATION IN ITS EFFORTS TO PACK AND SHIP OVER 300 BOXES OF RECENT TITLES. ON AVERAGE, RADIUS DONATES 5,000 TO 6,000 BOOKS EACH YEAR, WITH AN AVERAGE UNIT COST (PRODUCTION COST) OF 30 PER BOOK, AND AN AVERAGE LIST PRICE (RETAIL VALUE) OF 60 PER BOOK, WITH AN OVERALL ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE OF 360,000. IN ADDITION TO DONATING FREE OF CHARGE ABOUT 20% OF EVERY PRINT RUN, RADIUS MAKES THE LIST PRICE BELOW MARKET STANDARD, SO ALL CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO BENEFIT FROM ITS NON-PROFIT STATUS.
