FOSTERING HOPE FLORIDA, INC.'S APPROACH TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR AT-RISK YOUTH IN FOSTER CARE IS TO CREATE A SYSTEM OF COMMUNITY-SUPPORT FOR FOSTER FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE. THIS EFFORT IS BEING PURSUED THROUGH SEVERAL INITIATIVES: 1) PROVIDING COMMUNITY AWARENESS TO INCREASE SUPPORT BASE AND TO RECRUIT NEW FOSTER PARENTS: REACHED OVER 1000 PEOPLE WITH THIS CAMPAIGN. (CONTINUED, SCHEDULE O) 2) PROVIDING FREE SERVICES TO CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE: SERVED OVER 300 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY (SERVICES INCLUDE: MENTORING, PROVIDING NECESSITIES: CLOTHING, TOILETRIES, DISTRIBUTING EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL, TRANSPORTATION, PROVIDING CAR SEATS, BEDS, TOYS). 3) OPERATING 3 COMMUNITY SUPPORTED GROUP HOMES FOR CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE CALLED HOPE HOUSES: PROVIDED A HOME FOR 30 CHILDREN
