THE MISSION OF COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS IS TO SUPPORT GEORGIAS CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE BY PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES AND TRANSFORMATIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH FAMILIES AND THE LARGER COMMUNITY.

IN 2022, COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS, INC. SERVED 87 CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE IN THE CUSTODY OF THE DIVISION OF FAMILY AND CHILDREN SERVICES. AS A CHILD PLACING AGENCY, ADDITIONAL SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO FOSTER PARENTS INCLUDE: 24 HOUR ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT, CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES, AND RESPITE SERVICES. ANNUAL EVENTS, INCLUDING A BBQ AND HOLIDAY PARTY, ARE HELD TO HONOR AND APPRECIATE FOSTER PARENTS.COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS INC. PROVIDES A VARIETY OF ONGOING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FOSTER PARENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR INCLUDING TOPICS RELATED TO BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT AND SERVING CHILDREN WITH MEDICALLY FRAGILE NEEDS OR DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS. COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS, INC. OFFERS A FREE SHOPPING OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS FOSTER PARENTS CALLED THE CLOSET CONNECTION. NEW AND GENTLY USED DONATIONS OF CLOTHES, SHOES, TOYS, BOOKS AND SUPPLIES ARE SOLICITED TO PROVIDE FREE OF CHARGE TO FOSTER PARENTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE AGES 0-12 YEARS OLD. ALL DONORS ARE PROVIDED WITH A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE RECEIPT FOR THEIR DONATIONS. ANY ITEMS THAT ARE NOT PROVIDED TO CHILDREN SERVED IN THE COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS, INC.
