Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
ANTIOCH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY PROVIDES EDUCATION TO 230 STUDENTS IN 2021. IT CURRENTLY OFFERS KINDERGARTEN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL. PARENTS CHOOSE THE SCHOOL BECAUSE IT OFFERS QUALITY EDUCATION, INCLUDING ENGLISH PROFICIENCY CLASSES, A BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW, A SAFE AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT, AND A CURRICULUM FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING. IN A REGION WHERE ONLY 23% OF CHILDREN ATTEND HIGH SCHOOL AND 1% ARE ABLE TO REACH COLLEGE LEVEL EDUCATION, THE SCHOOL STANDS AS A PLACE TO EMPOWER CHILDREN THROUGH EDUCATION SO THAT THEY MAY BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY AND ABUSE.
THE STUDENT RESIDENT HOME PORVIDES A SAFE AND HOME-LIKE PLACE FOR GIRLS WHO ATTEND ANTIOCH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BUT ARE UNABLE TO COMMUTE FROM AND TO SCHOOL ON A DAILY BASIS. IN 2021, 8 GIRLS RECIEVED FOOD, SHELTER, AND MEDICAL CARE, TUTORING, COUNSELING AND TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THEIR HOME. IN 2021 THE RESIDENCE HOSTED 8 GIRLS. PARENTS SEND THEIR DAUGHTERS TO THE RESIDENT HOME BECAUSE ACCESS TO DEVELOPED EDUCATION IN THE DEEP JUNGLE IS NOT POSSIBLE. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, JUNGLE KIDS FOR CHRIST HOPES TO ENABLE GIRLS AND THEIR PARENTS TO GAIN OPPORTUNITY AND HOPE THROUGH EDUCATION IN SCHOOL AND RESIDENCE.
THE FARM IS A 10 ACRE PROPERTY WHERE VARIOUS SELF-SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS WILL BE DEVELOPED SUCH AS PLANTING TEA TREES AND HARVESTING FISH. THESE PROJECTS WILL PROGRESSIVELY GROW SO THAT WE CAN PROVIDE PRODUCE TO THE SCHOOL AND THE STUDENT RESIDENT HOME AS WELL AS BE AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL FOR THE AREA.
