HOMELESSNESS SERVICES PROGRAM;A WARMING CENTER SERVICES WAS ADDED IN 2018 TO HELP PROVIDE SHELTER FROM THE COLD FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS FROM THROUGHOUT ROCKLAND COUNTY. CCCSR CONDUCTS STREET OUTREACH TO IDENTIFY AND PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS.
FOOD SECURITY; THE ORGANIZATION HAS A FOOD PANTRY THAT IS AVAILABLE TO ROCKLAND COUNTY RESIDENTS PROVIDING FOOD FOR OVER 120,000 MEALS PER YEAR. FRESH PRODUCE IS GROWN IN THE COMMUNITY GARDEN OF LOVE TO SUPPLEMENT THE AVAILABILITY OF HEALTHY FOOD. ASSISTANCE IS ALSO PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF SNAP TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO FOOD. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS OUTREACH TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THE BENEFITS AND FACTS RELATED TO THE SNAP PROGRAM. FUNDING COMES FROM A SUBCONTRACT WITH HUNGER SOLUTIONS NEW YORK UNDER CONTRACT WITH NEW YORK STATE.
EVICTION PREVENTION PROGRAM;CASE MANAGEMENT AND EMERGENCY RELIEF FUNDS ASSIST HOUSEHOLDS FACING EVICTION TO STABILIZE THEIR HOUSING. ONE TIME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE MANY ALSO BE AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE EMERGENCY BASIC NEEDS, SUCH AS UTILITY BILLS, FURNITURE, FUNERAL ASSISTANCE, PRESCRIPTIONS, ETC. EMERGENCY RELIEF FUNDS ARE LIMITED BY AVAILABILITY.
