WAS FOUNDED TO PROTECT SCENIC LANDS IN THE BEAVERKILL VALLEY REGION OF THE CATSKILL MOUNTAINS OF NEW YORK STATE THROUGH THE ACQUISITION AND DONATION OF LANDS AND CONSERVATION EASEMENTS; TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE VALLEY'S WATERS AND STREAMS AND TO ESTABLISH A NATURE PRESERVE FOR EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC USE AND HUMAN ENJOYMENT.
