DURING OUR 2021-22 SEASON, THE CIVILIANS, INC. SERVED 4,622 AUDIENCE MEMBERS EMPLOYED AND SUPPORTED 139 ARTISTS. SEASON ACTIVITIES INCLUDED TWO MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS, INCLUDING THE NEW YORK CITY PREMIERE OF WHISPER HOUSE BY DUNCAN SHEIK AND KYLE JARROW AND WHAT YOU ARE NOW BY SAMANTHA CHANSE. THE CIVILIANS, INC. SUSTAINED ALL NEW PLAY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDING TWO CABARET PERFORMANCES (TALENT SHOW AND THE COURTROOM), THE UNBELIEVING WORKSHOP, SIX NEW WORKS FROM THE R&D GROUP, AND THE FINDINGS READING SERIES. FINALLY, THE CIVILIANS, INC. OFFERED SEVERAL PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS, INCLUDING THE EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR 60 STUDENTS; OUR ONLINE JOURNAL (EXTENDED PLAY) WITH AN ANNUAL READERSHIP OF 12,000; AND THE COMPLETION OF NINE CAST ALBUMS THROUGH THE MICHAEL FRIEDMAN RECORDING PROJECT.
