THE MISSION OF TOCCATA (THE ORGANIZATION) IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCES OF CLASSICAL MUSIC, AND TO PROVIDE VENUES FOR ACCOMPLISHED MUSICIANS TO DISPLAY AND DEVELOP THEIR TALENTS.

IN 2021 TOCCATA PRESENTED SEVEN DIFFERENT SERIES WITH THREE TO FIVE PERFORMANCES IN EACH SERIES. PERFORMANCE VENUES ARE IN SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, RENO, GARDNERVILLE, MINDEN, INCLINE VILLAGE, GENOA AND TRUCKEE. IN ADDITION TO THE 28 CONCERTS PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC AT VERY MODERATE TICKET PRICES ($20-$40), WE ALSO HAD 5 SOIREE MUSICALE FUNDRAISERS IN PRIVATE HOMES IN RENO, INCLINE VILLAGE, GENOA AND TRUCKEE. WE SCHEDULED A SERIES OF CHAMBER MUSIC, OFFERED FREE OF ADMISSION CHARGE TO THE PUBLIC,ONLY REQUESTING FREEWILL DONATIONS. WE ALSO SCHEDULED THREE PERFORMANCES OF HOT AUGUST PIPES, ORGAN RECITALS FEATURING OUR FOUNDING ORGANIST, DAVID BROCK. WE PLANNED THREE PERFORMANCES OF SIDEXSIDE, WHERE YOUNG ARTISTS SIT BESIDE PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS AND PERFORM PUBLIC CONCERTS, FUNDED BY A GRANT FROM NEVADA ARTS COUNCIL. HOWEVER, THE GRANT WAS REPURPOSED TO JUST SUBSIDIZE THE YOUNG PLAYERS TO PERFORM REGULARLY WITH TOCCATA, INSTEAD OF PERFORMING TWO SPECIFIC CONCERTS.
