STILLWATER SUNRISE ROTARY IS COMMITTED TO SERVICE BOTH LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY. AS AN ORGANIZATION, WE TAKE ACTION TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE ACROSS THE GLOB AND IN OUR COMMUNITIES. WE ARE INVOLVED IN HUMANITARIAN GLOBAL AND DISTRICT GRANTS TO LIFT COMMUNITIES AND INDIVIDUALS SO THEY CAN EXPERIENCE BETTER LIVES.

Part 3
FUNDING INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL SERVICE PROJECTS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS. MOST OF THE PROGRAMS ARE HUMANITARIAN IN NATURE. PROJECTS INCLUDE CAPACITY BUILDING FOR A CAPS GROUP IN EL COROZO NICARAGUA ON HOW TO MANAGE A WATER SYSTEM AND BEGINNING TO DRILL A WELL AND PLAN A DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IN THE VILLAGE. PAID FOR BY A ROTARY INTERNATIONAL GLOBAL GRANT AND DISTRICT GRANT. HELPED SPNSOR A CLEAN WATER ROTARY GLOBAL GRANT FOR A SCHOOL IN CAMBODIA, SPONSORED A SHELTER BOX, TRANSPORT VEHICLE FOR LOCAL VETERANS AT THE MAGNUS VETERANS CENTER, SPONSORED RIDES FOR DISABLED AND SENIORS GIVEN BY AN ORGANIZATION CALLED LIMITLESS CYCLYING.
VOLUNTEERING FOR A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AND FUNDING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS INVOLVED IN THE STRIVE PROGRAM AT THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL. WE SUPPORT A LOCAL HOMELESS YOUTH CENTER, SUPPORTED A PROJECT TO SET UP A FOOD BANK THAT WILL PROVIDE FOOD SUPPLIES TO ABOUT 35 SMALLER FOOD PANTRIES IN RURAL WISCONSIN, PROVIDED EQUIPMENT FOR A LOCAL ADOPTION AGENCY, AND PROVIDED FUNDING FOR TWO FOOD PACKING EVENTS AT A LOCAL NON-PROFIT, AND VOLUNTEERED AT 2 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARIES TO PROVIDE HELP WITH SHELVING BOOKS, HELPING STUDENTS SELECT BOOKS AND READING WITH STUDENTS. (VOLUNTEERS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LITERACY)
SPONSORED EVENTS TO PROMOTE THE 4-WAY TEST. VOLUNTEERS KEPT OUR POLLINATOR GARDEN PLANTED WITH POLLINATOR PLANTS, WEEDED AND CARED FOR, HELPED SPONSOR AN INTERNATIONAL SNOW SCULPTURE EVENT IN STILLWATER, FUNDED THE PURCHASE OF AN AQUA EYE FOR THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT, SUPPORTED THE FAST FOR HOPE INITIATIVE IN NICARAGUA TO HELP LIFT COMMUNITES OUT OF POVERTY. WE SUPPORTED TRF'S POLIOPLUS PROGRAM TO ERADICATE POLIO IN THE WORLD AND THE ROTARY FOUNDATION ANNUAL FUND.
