USA CARES' MISSION IS TO PROVIDE POST-9/11 MILITARY VETERANS, SERVICE MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND POST-SERVICE SKILLS TRAINING TO CREATE A FOUNDATION FOR LONG-TERM STABILITY. OUR SERVICES IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES AND REDUCE THE POTENTIAL RISK FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO VETERAN SUICIDE.

THE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AT USA CARES PAYS IMMEDIATE, ESSENTIAL BILLS, INCLUDING FOOD AND UTILITIES. OUR FOCUS IS ON CASES WHERE THE FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS ARE RELATED TO MILITARY SERVICE FOR POST 9/11 VETERANS, ACTIVE DUTY AND THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY.
THE HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES GRANT ASSISTANCE TO PREVENT FORECLOSURE AND EVICTION. THE PROGRAM OFFERS BUDGETARY COUNSELING TO RENTERS AND HOME OWNERS, ADDITIONALLY, FOR HOME OWNERS, COUNSELORS CAN HELP TO NEGOTIATE THE TERMS TO REINSTATE THE MORTGAGE OR PUT IT ON A PAYMENT PLAN. THESE SERVICES ARE FREE FOR POST 9/11 VETERANS, ACTIVE DUTY AND THEIR FAMILIES.
THE USA CARES COMBAT INJURED PROGRAM PROVIDES GRANT ASSISTANCE TO POST 9/11 VETERANS REFERRED TO IN-PATIENT TREATMENT FOR POST TRAUMATIC STRESS, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND MILITARY SEXUAL TRAUMA. THE PROGRAM COVERS THE COST OF BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS HOUSING, FOOD AND UTILITIES. THE MISSION OF THE COMBAT INJURED PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO CARE THAT WILL ULTIMATELY PREVENT SUICIDE, HOMELESSNESS AND JOBLESSNESS. ASSISTANCE IS PAID DIRECTLY TO THE PROVIDER, SUCH AS A MORTGAGE OR UTILITY PROGRAM.
THE CAREER TRANSITION PROGRAM REMOVES BARRIERS TO SECURING FULL-TIME PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES AID BY PROVIDING FUNDS FOR MOVES, UNIFORMS, TOOLS, BOOTS. ASSISTANCE WITH TRAVEL TO INTERVIEWS MAY BE CONSIDERED. THESE SERVICES ARE FREE FOR POST 9/11 VETERANS, ACTIVE DUTY AND SPOUSES/CAREGIVERS.
