TOGETHER, BOTH THE VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON FORUM BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 1000 LEADING EDUCATORS, RESEARCHERS, ADVOCATES, AUTHORS, PRACTITIONERS, AND RELATED-INDUSTRY LEADERS FROM 18 COUNTRIES (AUSTRALIA, BERMUDA, CANADA, COLOMBIA, COSTA RICA, IRELAND, ISRAEL, JAPAN, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, PHILIPPINES, SAUDI ARABIA, SINGAPORE, SOUTH AFRICA, SPAIN, TANZANIA, UNITED KINGDOM, AND UNITED STATES) TO SHARE IDEAS ABOUT HOW BEST TO PREPARE AND EMPOWER GIRLS TO BE ETHICAL, GLOBALLY MINDED CHANGEMAKERS WHO LEAD WITH COURAGE, COMPETENCE, AND EMPATHY. ONE VIRTUAL SYMPOSIUM WAS HELD IN FY22 AND BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 800 PARTICIPANTS FROM 6 COUNTRIES (AUSTRALIA, CANADA, COLOMBIA, SOUTH KOREA, UNITED KINGDOM, AND UNITED STATES). THE NET REVENUE TOTALED $24K. ORLD.
THE GLOBAL ACTION RESEARCH COLLABORATIVE ON GIRLS' EDUCATION (GARC) IS THE WORLD'S FIRST ACTION RESEARCH PROGRAM THAT ENGAGES GIRLS' SCHOOL EDUCATORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD IN INFORMED, COLLABORATIVE, AND DISCIPLINED, ACTION RESEARCH. THE PROGRAM BUILDS BOTH A NETWORK OF GIRLS' SCHOOL EDUCATORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AND A LIBRARY OF VALUABLE AND RELEVANT RESEARCH ON GIRLS' EDUCATION. HEADWAYS PROVIDES SCHOOL LEADERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT VIRTUALLY, USING THE VIDEO-CONFERENCING TOOL ZOOM, TO DISCUSS OPERATIONAL ISSUES RELEVANT TO THEIR POST. OPEN TO ALL MEMBER SCHOOLS, INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS GATHER FOR SMALL GROUP, ONE HOUR-LONG FACILITATED CONVERSATIONS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR TO DISCUSS PRE-ARRANGED AND TIME-SENSITIVE TOPICS.
