ICGS CONFERENCE: THE ICGS CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN PERSON IN CLEVELAND, OHIO (USA) JUNE 26-28, 2023. THE CONFERENCE BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 550 LEADING EDUCATORS, RESEARCHERS, ADVOCATES, AUTHORS, PRACTITIONERS, AND RELATED-INDUSTRY LEADERS FROM 14 COUNTRIES (AUSTRALIA, BERMUDA, CANADA, COLOMBIA, ICELAND, INDIA, MALAWI, NEW ZEALAND, PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, SOUTH AFRICA, SPAIN, UNITED KINGDOM, AND UNITED STATES) TO SHARE IDEAS ABOUT HOW BEST TO PREPARE AND EMPOWER GIRLS TO BE ETHICAL, GLOBALLY MINDED CHANGEMAKERS WHO LEAD WITH COURAGE, COMPETENCE, AND EMPATHY. THE NET REVENUE FROM THE 2023 ICGS CONFERENCE WAS $88K.
THE GLOBAL ACTION RESEARCH COLLABORATIVE ON GIRLS' EDUCATION (GARC) IS THE WORLD'S FIRST ACTION RESEARCH PROGRAM THAT ENGAGES GIRLS' SCHOOL EDUCATORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD IN INFORMED, COLLABORATIVE, AND DISCIPLINED, ACTION RESEARCH. THE PROGRAM BUILDS BOTH A NETWORK OF GIRLS' SCHOOL EDUCATORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AND A LIBRARY OF VALUABLE AND RELEVANT RESEARCH ON GIRLS' EDUCATION. THE FIRST THREE COHORTS OF GARC FELLOWS INCLUDED 60 EDUCATORS REPRESENTING 56 SCHOOLS IN EIGHT COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD.ICGS UK REGIONAL CONFERENCE: THE ICGS UK REGIONAL CONFERENCE, LEADING UK STATE GIRLS' SCHOOLS IN A SHIFTING WORLD, WAS HELD IN PERSON IN LONDON, UK, ON OCTOBER 14, 2022. THE FIRST ICGS CONFERENCE HELD OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES BROUGHT TOGETHER NEARLY 70 DELEGATES AND THE NET REVENUE WAS $4K USD.
EDUCATING GIRLS SYMPOSIUMS: EDUCATING GIRLS SYMPOSIUMS ARE ONE-DAY GATHERINGS HOSTED ON THE CAMPUS OF AN ICGS MEMBER SCHOOL. THE COALITION OFFERS SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS' SCHOOL EDUCATORS TO CONVENE FOR AN EDUCATING GIRLS SYMPOSIUM EACH YEAR, WITH PROGRAMS TAKING PLACE IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND THE WORLD. DESIGNED TO CELEBRATE THE POWER OF GIRLS AND GIRLS' SCHOOLS, THE EDUCATING GIRLS SYMPOSIUM IS IDEALLY SUITED FOR SCHOOLS LOCATED IN THE REGION OF THE GATHERING TO BRING A LARGER DELEGATION OF TEAM MEMBERS FOR NETWORKING AND SHARING BEST PRACTICES.
