DEVELOPMENT DAY SCHOOL:THE ANDERSON SCHOOL AT PCD IS A CHAPTER 766 APPROVED PRIVATE SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES, COMPLEX DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS AND/OR MEDICAL NEEDS. OUR SCHOOL OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL/THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM INCLUDING INDIVIDUALIZED CURRICULUM INSTRUCTION, INTEGRATED THERAPY (PT, OT, SLP, VISION) AND SOCIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT. WE PROVIDE THE NEEDED SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO ACCOMMODATE THE VARIED ABILITIES AND LEARNING NEEDS OF EACH STUDENT, SO THEY HAVE MAXIMUM ACCESS AND PARTICIPATION IN ALL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.
REGIONAL CONSULTATION:THE REGIONAL CONSULTATION PROGRAM PROVIDES ENHANCED SERVICE TO CHILDREN WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES OR COMPLEX MEDICAL NEEDS THROUGH CONSULTATION, TRAINING, AND SUPPORT TO FAMILIES.
EARLY INTERVENTION:THE EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM IS A HOME-BASED AND CENTER-BASED THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM, FOR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE 3, WHO ARE EXPERIENCING, OR AT HIGH-RISK, A DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY. SERVICES ARE CULTURALLY AND FAMILY SENSITIVE. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE A DEVELOPMENTAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM TO FACILITATE EACH CHILD'S PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE, AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH. THE EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS/EVALUATIONSIN-HOME THERAPEUTIC SERVICESTHERAPEUTIC TODDLER PLAYGROUPSOUR EI PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES IN LAWRENCE, ANDOVER, NORTH ANDOVER AND METHUEN AREAS. THE PROGRAM ALSO SUPPORTS ENROLLMENT IN OTHER EI PROGRAMS ON THE NORTH SHORE THROUGH OUR REGIONAL CONSULTATION CONTRACT WITH THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH ("DPH"). THIS CONTRACT OFFERS SUPPORT TO CHILDREN WHO ARE TWO THROUGH FOUR YEARS OLD WITH COMPLEX MEDIAL NEEDS. THE PROGRAM HELPS FAMILIES NAVIGATE THE COMPLEX SYSTEM OF CARE, PROVIDES RESPITE FUNDS AND LOANS EQUIPMENT AND DEVICES TO FAMILIES.EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES ARE FREE TO FAMILIES AND FUNDED THROUGH MASSHEALTH, PRIVATE INSURANCE AND THE DPH.
EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM:THE WOODBRIDGE SCHOOL AT PCD IS OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE PROGRAM FOR TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. WOODBRIDGE SCHOOL IS A FULL-YEAR, FULL-DAY PROGRAM THAT IS CENTERED ON THE BELIEF THAT ALL CHILDREN ARE CAPABLE. OUR PROGRAM WELCOMES CHILDREN WHO ARE PARTNERS IN LEARNING AS THEY THRIVE IN FRIENDSHIP AND CONNECTIONS THAT PREPARE THEM FOR FUTURE LEARNING SUCCESSES. IN OUR NURTURING ENVIRONMENTS WE OFFER EXPERIENCES THAT SUPPORT CHILDREN'S SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH TO FOSTER INDEPENDENCE AND A STRONG SENSE OF SELF. OUR TEACHING PRACTICES ARE ALIGNED WITH BEST PRACTICE MODELS IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD FIELD.
