OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVES ARE TO STRENGTHEN THAT LINK BY PRESERVING UNDEVELOPED LAND ON WINDMILL RIDGE IN SOUTHEASTERN VERMONT FOR THE BENEFIT AND ENJOYMENT OF PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS AND TO PROTECT THE NATURAL HABITAT AND WILDLIFE CORRIDOR OF THE AREA.

COMPLETED PHASE TWO CONSTRUCTION OF HIKING TRAIL CONNECTING PROSPECT HILL IN DUMMERSTON TO HAGUE ROAD IN DUMMERSTON, 1.9 MILES. ADDED KIOSK AT HAGUE ROAD TRAILHEAD. PURCHASED MATERIAL FOR SIGNAGE AND BEGAN MAKING SIGNS.
STEWARDSHIP OF 765 ACRES OF FOREST LAND AND TRAILS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION. UPDATED KIOSK SPECIFIC MAPS,COMPLETED "TURNPIKE" CONSTRUCTION ON MAIN SUMMIT TRAIL. SAFELY ACCOMODATED HIKERS AND ANNUAL HAWK WATCH PARTICIPANTS. CONTINUED TO CONTROL INVASIVE BUCKTHORN ON THE SUMMIT THROUGH OUR SHEEP GRAZING PROJECT AND MANUAL REMOVAL. BRUSH MOWED, TWICE, THE BUCKTHORN INFESTATION PREVIOUSLY GROUND DOWN TO A MANAGEABLE LEVEL. PURCHASED TWO GAME CAMERAS TO MONITOR WILDLIFE ACTIVITY ALONG PROPOSED AND EXISTING TRAILS.
