STEWARDSHIP:FLT IMPROVED WILDLIFE HABITAT BY REMOVING INVASIVE PLANTS ON THREE PRESERVES AND PLANTING NATIVE PLANTS AT ONE PRESERVE. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ALSO BUILT TRAIL BRIDGES AND MADE REPAIRS ON SECTIONS OF FALMOUTHS 55+ MILES OF TRAILS.


EDUCATION & OUTREACH:FLT OFFERED MONTHLY NATURE HIKES FOR THE PUBLIC LED BY A MAINE MASTER NATURALIST, LED EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS FOR MANY CLASSES AT THE FALMOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, FALMOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL AND OTHER AREA PRESCHOOLS, SCHOOLS, AND AFTER-CARE PROGRAMS.


OTHER:OUR PROGRAM ACTIVITY INCLUDES PRESERVING AND CARING FOR NATURAL AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS IN PERPETUITY, TO ENHANCE HABITAT FOR PLANTS AND WILDLIFE, TO ADVANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY AND STEWARDSHIP OF PROTECTED LANDS. THIS WORK IS DONE TO ADVANCE THE MISSION OF THE LAND TRUST.
