THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO COORDINATE AND FACILITATE FAMILY AND YOUTH CONFERENCES. IN ADDITION, SINCE 2007 THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FAMILY FINDING AND FAMILY CONNECTION SERVICES. EPIC SERVICES FAMILIES, CHILDREN, AND YOUTH IN THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM.

COORDINATED AND FACILITATED 1239 FAMILIES WITH OHANA CONFERENCES AND 1172 INDIVIDUALS WITH YOUTH CIRCLES. THE ORGANIZATION COMPLETED 1215 FAMILY CONFERENCES FOR OHANA CONFERENCES AND 292 CONFERENCES FOR YOUTH CIRCLES. EPIC TRAININGS WERE CONDUCTED THROUGHOUT THE STATE FOR SOCIAL WORKERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS. FAMILY FINDING SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 483 FAMILIES, AND FAMILY CONNECTIONS SERVICES TO 3 FAMILIES. HI HOPES BOARDS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP BOARDS WERE ESTABLISHED IN ALL COUNTIES TO IMPROVE SERVICES FOR FOSTER YOUTH. EPIC CONTINUES TO BE THE LEAD AGENCY FOR THE HI HOPES INITIATIVE (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE HAWAII YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES INITIATIVE). 18 YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS STATEWIDE PARTICIPATED AS COUNCIL MEMBERS; 63 YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS AND COUNCIL MEMBERS RECEIVED LEADERSHIP SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING; 305 FOSTER AND FORMER FOSTER YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN CONFERENCES, TRAININGS OR ACTIVITIES IN COLLABORATION WITH THE HI HOPES COUNCIL.WRAPAROUND SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 79 FAMILIES ON OAHU AND HAWAII ISLAND WITH 418 MEETINGS WITH FAMILIES.THE INDEPENDENT LIVING COLLABORATOR (ILC) PROGRAM CREATED AND MAINTAINS THE FOSTER HOPE HAWAII MOBILE APP TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE AND STAKEHOLDERS CONNECT TO RESOURCES. THERE WERE 108 ILC PARTNERSHIP MEETINGS AND 3 ILC STATEWIDE CONVENING. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, IN-PERSON MEETINGS WERE HELD VIRTUALLY WITH 173 ATTENDEES.
