Part 3 - Line 4a
DISNEY INSTITUTE: PARTNERED WITH DISNEY INSTITUTE TO ORGANIZE 2 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTES DISNEY'S APPROACH TO EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND DISNEY'S APPROACH TO QUALITY SERVICE FOR HAWAII EDUCATIONAL PROFESSIONALS. HELD ON MAY 1 & JUNE 1 2022 344 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE TRAINING INCLUDING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS ALONG WITH DISTRICT LEVEL STAFF TO LEARN ABOUT ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE CARE COMMUNICATION EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND STRATEGY DELIVERY AS THEY RELATE TO EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. THESE EVENTS WERE INITIALLY SCHEDULED IN JUNE 2021 AND WE COLLECTED A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE REGISTRATION FEES FROM HAWAII DOE FOR THEIR TEACHERS AND STAFF PARTICIPATION. HOWEVER THE PROGRAM WAS POSTPONED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS. HAWAII DOE ACCEPTED THE POSTPONEMENT WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THOSE FOR WHOM THEY PAID REGISTRATION FEES WOULD BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE RESCHEDULED PROGRAM WHICH THEY DID IN MAY-JUNE 2022. THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE HIGHER PROGRAM EXPENSES AND LOWER REVENUE.
HAWAII STUDENT TELEVISION CONVENTION: PARTNERED WITH THE HAWAII DOE AND HAWAII CREATIVE MEDIA TO HOST A STUDENT MEDIA COMPETITION AND CONVENTION HELD ON FEB 18-21 2022 FOR HAWAII PUBLIC SCHOOL MEDIA STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-12 WHO WERE PARTICIPATING BOTH NATIONALLY REMOTE AND IN PERSON BUT ATTENDED FROM A CENTRALIZED LOCATION IN HAWAII SINCE HAWAII STUDENTS WERE NOT ABLE TO TRAVEL TO MAINLAND DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. 230 PEOPLE ATTENDED.
