THROUGH OUR MEDICAL AID PROGRAM IN 2021 WE HELPED UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED PATIENTS OBTAIN OR GAIN ACCESS TO CRITICAL MEDICAL CARE. MOST OF THESE PATIENTS ARE LOW-INCOME AND/OR HAVE RESOURCES THAT ARE INSUFFICIENT TO PAY FOR ALL OR PART OF THEIR MEDICAL CARE. WE HELPED PATIENTS GAIN ACCESS TO CRITICAL MEDICAL CARE, OBTAIN NEEDED PHYSICAL EXAMS, HELPED PATIENTS WITH CO-PAYS, AND ASSISTED WITH MEDICAL AID FOR GRAVELY-ILL PATIENTS. WE ALSO PROVIDED LOW-INCOME AND UNINSURED PATIENTS, INCLUDING CHILDREN, WITH ACCESS TO DENTAL CARE WHICH INCLUDED ROUTINE DENTAL CHECK-UPS AND EMERGENCY TREATMENTS FOR PATIENTS WITH MODERATE-TO-EXTENSIVE TOOTH DECAY. WE ALSO ASSITED PATIENTS IN MEXICO WITH MEDICAL AILMENTS INCLUDING PROVIDING A HIP REPLACEMENT TO A MOTHER WHO HAD NOT WALKED IN ALMOST 3 YEARS BECAUSE OF HEALTHCARE ENTITY NEGLIGENCE. WE ALSO HELPED PROVIDE LOW-INCOME OR UNEMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS WITH URGENT PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, INCLUDING CANCER DRUGS. WE ALSO SUCCESSFULLY HELPED SEVERAL PATIENTS FIGHT EXCESSIVE MEDICAL BILLS AND COLLECTION EFFORTS. OUR CUMULATIVE MEDICAL-AID NUMBER IS NOW OVER 13,000 FAMILIES.
IN 2021 WE LAUNCHED A MULTI-STATE, BI-NATIONAL INVESTIGATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL PROJECT TO INVESTIGATE AND DOCUMENT THE FINANCIAL AND CRIMINAL ABUSE OF ELDERLY FOREIGN NATIONALS FROM MEXICO. IN MEXICO WE HELPED PREVENT POTENTIAL VICTIMS FROM BEING DEFRAUDED IN "TIME SHARE" SCHEMES. WE ALSO COMMUNICATED WITH OVER 150 ELDERLY VICTIMS OF FINANCIAL CRIMES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRYTOCURRENCY FRAUD, PROPERTY DEED THEFT, AND DECEPTIVE RETIREMENT INVESTMENTS. WORKING WITH U.S. FEDERAL AUTHORITIES AND THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY REGULATORY AUTHORITY (FINRA.ORG), WE DOCUMENTED THE ABUSE DONE BY FINANCIAL ADVISORS, STOCKBROKERS, AND BROKERAGE FIRMS AND PROVIDED LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO ELDERLY VICTIMS, INCLUDING A MEXICAN FARMER WHO LOST OVER $400,000 USD DUE TO DECEPTIVE AND EGREGIOUS MISCONDUCT BY AN UNSCRUPULOUS BROKER.
OUR CORPORATE CORRUPTION ADVOCACY PROJECT HAD US CONTINUE WORKING WITH FEDERAL INVESTIGATORS AND PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TO HELP COMBAT CORRUPTION AND OTHER CRIMES SURROUNDING THE LEGAL PROFESSION. IN 2021, WE ALSO WORKED WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY WHEN AN ALLEGED PEDOPHILE AND ATTORNEY WAS ARRESTED BY LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR SOLICITING A CHILD FOR SEX. OUR WORK EVENTUALLY LED TO A FEDERAL INDICTMENT AGAINST THE ATTORNEY FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY. WE ALSO WORKED WITH INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS PROVIDING DOCUMENTED RESEARCH ON ALLEGED CORRUPTION AND CRONYISM. WE EDUCATED THE PUBLIC AND MEDIA ABOUT LAW FIRM CORRUPTION, UNSAVORYCONDUCT IN THE ELECTRIC UTILITY INDUSTRY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL RACISM.
