RAKSHA PROVIDES COUNSELING, ADVOCACY, REFERRALS, AND FINANCIAL AND IN-KIND DONATION ASSISTANCE TO SURVIVORS OF VIOLENCE CRIMES WHICH INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, CHILD ABUSE, AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA. RAKSHA ALSO PROVIDES OUTREACH AND EDUCATION TO THE SOUTH ASIAN AND OTHER CONNECTED COMMUNITIES ON THE ABOVE TYPES OF VIOLENCE AS WELLS AS INFORMATION ON RESOURCES AND RIGHTS. RAKSHA ALSO PROVIDES TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PROFESSIONALS ON CULTURAL COMPETENCY/RESPONSIVENESS FOR UNDERSERVED AND MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES, LANGUAGE ACCESS FOR SURVIVORS, IMMIGRATION RELIEF FOR SURVIVORS AND INFORMATION ON RESOURCES FOR IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEE COMMUNITIES.

RAKSHA, INC. PROVIDES FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL DIRECT SERVICES SUCH AS COUNSELING, CASE MANAGEMENT, INTERPRETATION, TRANSLATION, ADVOCACY, CAREER ASSISTANCE, AND OTHER SERVICES TO SOUTH ASIANS. RAKSHA, INC. SOCIAL SERVICES INCLUDE FACE TO FACE COUNSELING, TELEPHONE COUNSELING, FACILITATING AND HOSTING MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUPS, PROMOTING CULTURAL SENSITIVITY TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES, AND ADVOCACY FOR THE COMMUNITY'S OVERALL RIGHTS AND INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS THROUGH ACCESS TO SOCIAL SERVICES AND THE JUSTICE SYSTEM. DURING THE YEAR, THROUGH OUR COLLABORATIONS AND OUTREACH EFFORTS, RAKSHA:-PROVIDED 462 HOURS OF COUNSELING. -SERVED 495 CLIENTS IN 2023 WITH 355 NEW REQUESTS FOR HELP. -PROVIDED FINANCIAL REQUESTS FOR CLIENT ASSISTANCE TO 661 CLIENTS. -PROVIDED OUTREACH/TRAINING VIA IN-PERSON, SOCIAL MEDIA, ONLINE EVENTS, AND PSA IN PRINT MEDIA BILLBOARD: MINIMUM 653 IN TRAINING OUTREACH MINIMUM 308,290.-PROVIDED INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT (TELEPHONE CONTACTS AND IN PERSON REFERRALS AND SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY): 12,385 SERVICES-PROVIDED LEGAL ADVOCACY (CIVIL, CRIMINAL AND IMMIGRATION): 312 SERVICES-PROVIDED 379 REQUESTS FOR LANGUAGE ASSISTANCE.
