"BY ENGAGING THE PUBLIC AND FAMILIES OF VICTIMS, OUR MISSION IS TO EDUCATE OUR COMMUNITIES ABOUT THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF FIREARMS, ADVOCATE FOR SENSIBLE GUN LAWS, AND TO PROMOTE YOUTH VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAMS." THE WAGV SPEAKERS BUREAU DELIVERS WAGV'S VIOLENCE PREVENTION WORKSHOPS AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES TO HIGH-RISK YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES IN COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT LA COUNTY. WAGV'S PUBLICATION "HOW TO TALK TO KIDS ABOUT GUNS," IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH ARE FOR PARENTS DISCUSSING GUN VIOLENCE WITH YOUTH. WE DISTRIBUTE THESE BOOKLETS AT THE WORKSHOPS, AND ALSO FOR FREE IN SCHOOLS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CBOS.
