DURING 2023, THE COLLABORATION WITH LOCAL BEEKEEPERS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS IN ILLINOIS CONTINUED WITH THE RESCUE AND RELOCATION OF BEE HIVES AS WELL AS COMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS. EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS WERE MADE AVAILABLE TO ADVANCE AWARENESS OF THE ISSUE OF BEE AND POLLINATOR SUSTAINABILITY. THE RELATIONSHIP WITH BLACKBURN COLLEGE CONTINUES AS DOES THE CULTIVATION OF NEW BEEKEEPERS.


THE COLLABORATION WITH HURRICANE ISLAND AND ITS WOMAN OF WATER (WOW) PROGRAM CONTINUES. ADEMAS REVIEWED THE CURRICULUM WITH A FOCUS ON OCEAN SUSTAINABILITY WITH A SPECIFIC EMPHASIS ON THE IMPACT OF PLASTIC REFUSE ON OCEAN HEALTH. THEME-RELEVANT BOOKS AND MATERIALS WERE PROVIDED TO THE SUMMER PROGRAM STUDENTS.


COLLABORATION WITH GROWINGGREAT, A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION CONTINUES. ADEMAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE PROGRAM IN THE GARDEN SUSTAINABILITY REALM AND PARTICIPATED IN SITE VISITS TO GROWINGGREAT STEM SCHOOLS.


ADEMAS FURTHERED THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF ITS BOOK BUDDIES PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES ENVIRONMENTALLY-FOCUSED CHILDREN'S BOOKS TO SCHOOLS, MUSEUMS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND BAJA, MEXICO. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE THREE BAJA, MEXICO BASED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS (PROESTEROS, GREEN GENERATION, AND SYCOMA), ADEMAS PARTICIPATED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF BILINGUAL EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND FLYERS.
