KHEIR'S MISSION IS TO INCREASE AND PROVIDE ACCESS TO CULTURALLY AND LINGUISTICALLY APPROPRIATE QUALTIY HEALTH CARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO THE UNDERSERVED AND UNINSURED RESIDENTS OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

COMMUNITY CLINIC: IN A LINGUISTICALLY AND CULTURALLY-SENSETIVE SETTING, THE KHEIR COMMUNITY CLINIC PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF PRIMARY AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INCLUDING DENTAL AND VISION SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME WORKING FAMILIES. OUR FOCUS AT THE CLINIC, WHERE ACCESS IS ASSURED FOR ALL REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY, IS NOT ONLY TO KEEP THE PATIENTS HEALTHY BUT TO KEEP THEM THRIVING WITH MANY LIFE-SAVING CANCER SCREENINGS AND EDUCATION CLASSES.
ADULT DAY HEALTH CARE: KHEIR ALSO OPERATES AN ADHC CENTER, RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE AGING POPULATION AND THEIR CRITICAL CONTINUUM OF CARE IN AN OUTPATIENT SETTING. THIS RESOURCE PROVIDES RSPITE FOR THE FAMILIES AND ALSO ALLOWS THEM TO CONTINUE WORKING WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT THEIR INCAPACITATED LOVED ONES. SERVICES OFFERED ONSITE INCLUDE PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, CASE MANAGEMENT, PERSONAL ASSISTANCE, DEMENTIA AND ALZHEIMER'S CARE, COUNSELING AND TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE PARTICIPANTS' RESIDENCES. SELECTED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY PHYSICIANS, REGISTERED NURSES, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS, REGISTERED DIETICIANS AND SOCIAL WORKERS.
HUMAN SERVICES: THE PATIENT RESOURCES DEPARTMENT PROVIDES ENROLLMENT ASSITANCE AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR A WIDE RANGE OF LOW-COST HEALTH COVERAGE AND OTHER SOCIAL PROGRAMS, INCLDUDING HOUSING, FINANCIAL LITERACY AND EMPLOYMENT. KHEIR ALSO IMPROVES INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY OUTCOMES BY CONDUCTING OUTREACH TO EDUCATE NEW IMMIGRANTS ABOUT THE EXTENSIVE SCOPE OF EMPOWERING HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO THEM.
