EDUCATION PROGRAM: THE ASSOCIATION MAINTAINS AN ARRAY OF EDUCATIONAL COURSES (50) FOR ITS MEMBERS. THE ASSOCIATION'S ARRAY OF EDUCATIONAL COURSES INCLUDES; LEGAL, GENERAL ADMINISTRATION, MARKETING AND FACILITY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH OWNING AND OR MANAGING RESIDENTIAL HOUSING AND APARTMENTS. THE ASSOCIATIONS EDUCATIONAL COURSES WERE UTILIZED BY ITS' MORE THAN 8,500 MEMBERS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO OFFERED A MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM THAT CONTRIBUTES TO GREATER PROFESSIONALISM WITHIN THE RENTAL HOUSING AND APARTMENT INDUSTRY. 300 MEMBERS COMPLETED THE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM AND ARE CERTIFIED BY THE ASSOCIATION.
COMMUNICATION AND MEMBERS SERVICES: THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED EXTENSIVE COMPLIANCE GUIDANCE REGARDING THE MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP OF RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY, INCLUDING: CALIFORNIA SPECIFIC "STANDARD OPERATIONAL FORMS" (275), THE "CALIFORNIA MANAGING RENTAL HOUSING REFERENCE BOOK", AN ARRAY OF COMPLIANCE PAPERS (150), NEWSLETTERS, PUBLICATIONS, BROCHURES, SIGNS AND OTHER REFERENCE MATERIAL TO ASSIST THE MEMBERS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF THEIR PROPERTIES. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE WEBSITE THAT IS A PORTAL TO A VAST LIBRARY OF ASSOCIATION INFORMATION. THE CAA WEBSITE HAD APPROXIMATELY 1,300,000 VISITS TO ITS COMPLIANCE PAGE IN 2023.
ADVOCACY PROGRAM: THE ASSOCIATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING AND REPRESENTING THE RENTAL HOUSING INDUSTRY BEFORE THE STATE LEGISLATURE, STATE REGULATORY BODIES, THE COURTS AND NUMEROUS CITY GOVERNMENTS WITHIN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE BROCHURE IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH "RENTING: A USER'S MANUAL" THAT IS DISSEMINATED BY THE ASSOCIATION TO VARIOUS ELECTED OFFICIALS' OFFICES, AND ASSISTS BOTH OWNERS AND RESIDENTS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
