MG ADVANCES A JUST TRANSITION AWAY FROM PROFIT AND POLLUTION, TOWARDS HEALTHY AND RESILIENT LOCAL ECONOMIES. WE'VE ENGAGED OVER 160 ORGANIZATIONS AND THOUSANDS OF CHANGE AGENTS THROUGH RETREATS, POLITICAL EDUCATION, SKILLS WORKSHOPS, STRATEGY, ALLIANCES.

MOVEMENT GENERATION CONTINUED THE CREATIVE WILDFIRE PROJECT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE NEW ECONOMY COALITION AND THE CLIMATE JUSTICE ALLIANCE, ALONG WITH NUMEROUS VISUAL ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS. MG IS PARTNERING WITH SIX GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS, WHICH WILL RECEIVE SUPPORT TO COLLABORATE WITH ARTISTS, CO-CREATE ART THAT SUPPORTS THEIR GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING, AND DEVELOP STRATEGIC DISSEMINATION PLANS BASED ON THEIR GOALS AND TARGET AUDIENCES.MG HOSTED A 5-DAY STRATEGY RETREAT WITH THE NATIONAL STAFF OF THE CHISHOLM LEGACY PROJECT, WHICH IS A NEW NATIONAL FORMATION GALVANIZING BLACK FRONTLINE LEADERSHIP IN CLIMATE JUSTICE ARENAS.WE CARRIED OUT SEVERAL OTHER ECOLOGICAL JUSTICE RETREATS AND WORKSHOPS, INCLUDING WITH ORGANIZATIONS IN NEVADA, WASHINGTON AND THE BAY AREA, AS WELL AS AN ONGOING SERIES WITH THE SIERRA CLUB. FINALLY, MG PARTNERED WITH SOGOREA T LAND TRUST TO REMATRIATE 43 ACRES OF LAND, CONSULTED WITH ECOLOGICAL EXPERTS FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF A RETREAT CENTER, AND COMPLETED CRITICAL REPAIRS TO EXISTING STRUCTURES ON THE LAND, AS WELL AS FIRE MITIGATION AND LAND MANAGEMENT WORK.
