ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF LONG BEACH VOLUNTEERS EMPOWER AND TRANSFORM LIVES OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS THROUGH IMPACTFUL PROGRAMS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ORTHODONTIC PROGRAM PROVIDES ORTHODONTIC SERVICES AT A REDUCED COST TO STUDENTS IN THE GREATER LONG BEACH REGION. THROUGHOUT FISCAL YEAR 2024, THE ORTHODONTIC CENTER AVERAGED 1,052 PATIENTS UNDER TREATMENT.


OPERATION SCHOOL BELL DELIVERS NEW SCHOOL UNIFORMS TO KINDERGARTEN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE LONG BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024, OPERATION SCHOOL BELL PROVIDED UNIFORMS FOR 11,642 STUDENTS.


MENTORING AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS SUPPORT STUDENTS IN THE LONG BEACH COMMUNITY. THE MENTORING PROGRAM PROVIDES PROMISING STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUALIZED GUIDANCE IN ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO STUDENTS ATTENDING LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS, LONG BEACH CITY COLLEGE, AND CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY LONG BEACH, AS WELL AS OTHER UNIVERSITIES. IN FISCAL YEAR 2024, 43 STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS AND 31 STUDENTS WERE MENTORED.
