THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OF THE ODESSA COMMUNITY AND THE PEOPLE OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE CORPORATION WAS ABLE TO CLOSE ON THE SECONF HALF OF A 77 ACRE TRACT THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BE DESIGNED AND BUILT INTO A NEW PARK. AN ARCHITECTURAL FIRM WAS HIRED TO COMPLETE A MASTER PLAN OF THE 77 ACRES AS WELL AS A COMPLETE SURVEY OF THE PROPERTY. MEETINGS WERE HELD WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS TO INCLUDE MULTIPLE VIEW POINTS FOR THE NEW PARK DESIGN. FENCE LINE CLEANING AND SOME DIRT WORK WAS COMPLETED.
SHADE PROTECTION - PHASE 1 WAS COMPLETED AT THE LARGER BASEBALL FIELD IN DYER PARK, WITH SHADE STRUCTURES ERECTED OVER THE BLEACHERS AND RECYCLING EFFORTS WERE INITIATED WITH NEW RECEPTACLES AND SIGNAGE.
