BEA SUPPORTS PROGRAMS THAT PRESERVE, PROMOTE, AND IMPROVE PUBLIC EDUCATION THROUGH ADVOCACY, ACTION, AND EDUCATION. THIS MISSION IS REFLECTED IN THE GOALS OF MEMBER RIGHTS, MEMBERSHIP, LEADERSHIP, POLITICAL ACTION, COMMUNICATION, AND PROFESSIONAL ISSUES.

THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTED APPROXIMATELY 2,500 MEMBERS (INCLUDING CERTIFIED STAFF AND SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS) IN NEW TEACHER SKILLS, NEGOTIATIONS, LEADERSHIP TRAINING, PROBLEM-SOLVING, ADVOCACY, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS, AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND LEGAL DEFENSE.
TO RECRUIT ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVES AND TRAIN LEADERS. THE ASSOCIATION PRESENTED WORKSHOPS TO MEMBERS IN LEADERSHIP, REPRESENTATION, CONTRACT ENFORCEMENT AND POLITICAL ACTION.
THE ASSOCIATION RECRUITED MEMBER VOLUNTEERS FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION IN POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS AND STATEWIDE REFERENDA TO BENEFIT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE BEA MEMBERSHIP.
EACH MONTH THE ASSOCIATION PUBLISHED AT LEAST ONE NEWSLETTER TO INFORM THE MEMBERSHIP ABOUT ASSOCIATION PROGRAMS, CONTRACT MAINTENANCE, NEGOTIATIONS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, HEALTH INSURANCE ISSUES, MEMBER RIGHTS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATES.
