THE WEST SEATTLE HELPLINE STOPS HOMELESSNESS BEFORE IT STARTS. WE PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF RENT AND UTILITY PAYMENTS, CLOTHING, BUS TICKETS, AND REFERRALS TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS IN WEST SEATTLE AND WHITE CENTER REGAIN STABILITY AFTER FACING HARDSHIP. WE STRIVE TO STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS."

CLOTHESLINE: THE ORGANIZATION RUNS THE LARGEST ALL-AGES CLOTHING BANK IN THE SEATTLE METROPOLITAN AREA. EVERY THREE MONTHS, NEIGHBORS CAN PICK UP CLOTHING FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS, INCLUDING SHOES, COATS, AND SCHOOL CLOTHES. IN THE SHORT FY20, THEY DISTRIBUTED OVER $140,000 WORTH OF CLOTHING TO OVER 1,450 PEOPLE.
MERGER: IN FEBRUARY 2020, THE WEST SEATTLE HELPLINE MERGED WITH THE WEST SEATTLE FOOD BANK. THE WEST SEATTLE FOOD BANK PROVIDES FOOD SECURITY AND COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS TO NEIGHBORS IN NEED. THE MISSION AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE TWO ORGANIZATIONS ARE SIMILAR. ON 2/29/2020, THE WEST SEATTLE FOOD BANK ASSUMED ALL ASSETS AND OUTSTANDING LIABILITIES OF THE WEST SEATTLE HELPLINE.
