THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED IN 1978 TO PROMOTE THE APPRECIATION OF FINE QUILTS, SPONSOR, AND SUPPORT QUILTING ACTIVITIES, ENCOURAGE QUILT MAKING AND COLLECTION, AND TO FURTHER THE GROWTH OF QUILTERS EDUCATION. OUR MISSION, YEARS LATER, STILL INCLUDES ALL THESE ACTIVITIES.

THE GUILD HAS HELD ANNUAL SPRING AND FALL MEETINGS AND A JUDGED QUILT SHOW, ALL OF WHICH INCLUDED SPEAKERS AND/OR CLASSES. THE TRAVELING TEACHER PROGRAM PROVIDED CLASSES TO CHAPTERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THROUGH MEMBERSHIP IN THE GUILD, MEMBERS CAN TAKE CLASSES AT REDUCED RATES, RECEIVE A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, AND ENTER THE QUILT SHOW WITHOUT AN ENTRY FEE.
