THE MISSION OF RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES IS TO CREATE, FIND AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS THAT DIRECTLY IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIIES. WE FULFILL OUR MISSION THROUGH OPERATION OF SUSTAINABLE PROGRAMS THAT ENABLE FAMILY-CENTERED CARE, BRIDGE ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTH CARE, ARE A VITAL PART OF THE HEALTH CARE CONTINUUM AND STRENGTHEN FAMILIES DURING DIFFICULT TIMES.

*PROVIDED A HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN BEING TREATED FOR SERIOUS INJURIES AND ILLNESSES AT VALLEY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.*FAMILIES COME FROM MORE THAN 9 CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COUNTIES, OFTEN MORE THAN 3 HOURS FROM HOME.*THE HOUSE PROVIDES THE FAMILIES A RESPITE FROM THE HOSPITAL SETTING AS WELL AS SUPPORT FOR THEIR EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL NEEDS.*THE HOUSE HAS 18 BEDROOMS, EACH WITH PRIVATE BATHROOMS, A KITCHEN WITH FULL FACILITIES, A LAUNDRY ROOM, PLAY ROOM, LIVING ROOM, OUTDOOR PLAY AREA, AND MORE. DURING THE YEAR APPROXIMATELY 45 FAMILIES WERE SERVED STAYING AT THE HOUSE FOR 34 DAYS OR MORE AT A TIME.*FAMILIES ARE CHARGED A NOMINAL FEE ($15 PER NIGHT) THAT IS WAIVED IF THE FAMILY CANNOT AFFORD IT. NONPERISHABLE FOOD IS PROVIDED FOR FAMILIES WHO NEED IT.*ALONG WITH AN AFFORDABLE ROOM AND THE CONVENIENCE OF BEING WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE HOSPITAL, SERVICES AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES INCLUDE KITCHENS, LAUNDRY FACILITIES, CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA AND QUIET ROOMS.
