NATIVE HEALTH DBA NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE MISSION: TO PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE HOLISTIC PATIENT CENTERED CARE, TO EMPOWER OUR COMMUNITY TO ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST QUALITY HEALTH AND WELL-BEING. VISION: HEALTHY PEOPLE IN HEALTHY COMMUNITIES VALUES: IN THE TRADITION OF OUR PEOPLE, NATIVE HEALTH CONTINUES TO CARRY THE CORE VALUES THAT HELP STRENGTHEN INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES BY PROVIDING SERVICES IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF HOSPITALITY AND RESPECT FOR THE DIGNITY OF EACH PERSON INVOLVED IN THE CARING AND HEALING PROCESS AND IS FURTHER CHARACTERIZED BY PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE. DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES: AS COVID'S PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY ENDED, NATIVE HEALTH RETURNED TO IN- PERSON PRIMARY MEDICAL, DENTAL, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS. NATIVE HEALTH PROVIDES PRIMARY MEDICAL, DENTAL, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, WIC, AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS AT THREE CLINICAL SITES IN THE METRO-PHOENIX AREA. NATIVE HEALTH ALSO OPERATES A 40-FOOT MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT PROVIDING WELL AND SICK VISITS, BACK TO SCHOOL AND SPORTS PHYSICALS, IMMUNIZATIONS AND FLU SHOTS, SCREENINGS, HIV TESTING, COVID VACCINES, DENTAL SCREENINGS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES. NATIVE HEALTH CONTINUES TO PROVIDE DRIVE-THRU FLU SHOT CLINICS AT COMMUNITY EVENTS AND IN THE CLINICS. NATIVE HEALTH MEDICAL SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE VIRTUALLY AND IN-PERSON. DENTAL SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT TWO LOCATIONS AND EMERGENCY WALK-IN APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE. NATIVE HEALTH'S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT PROVIDES SERVICES AT THREE SITES INCLUDING SUBSTANCE USE ASSESSMENTS, INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, GROUP COUNSELING, CASE MANAGEMENT, PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES, AND TALKING CIRCLES. NATIVE HEALTH ALSO PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. NATIVE HEALTH'S TRADITIONALIST CONTINUES TO PROVIDE TALKING CIRCLES TO ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY'S NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENTS AND TO THE NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITY. NATIVE HEALTH'S COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS CONTINUED SERVING THE COMMUNITY WITH MANY PROGRAMS SUCH AS YOUTH RESILIENCY, INDIGENOUS WELLNESS, TRADITIONAL GARDEN, MATERNAL CHILD HEALTH PROGRAMS INCLUDING MULTIPLE HOME VISITING PROGRAMS, AND WIC, TO NAME JUST A FEW. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE POSITIVE INDIAN PARENTING, DIABETES PREVENTION CLASSES AND TALKING CIRCLES, TRADITIONAL GARDEN WHICH INCLUDED TRADITIONAL GARDENING TECHNIQUES AND PLANTS AND HARVESTS OF OVER 2,500 POUNDS AND WERE DISTRIBUTED TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH NATIVE HEALTH'S FOOD PANTRIES. THESE PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO URBAN NATIVE AMERICANS AND OTHER UNDERSERVED COMMUNITY MEMBERS. NATIVE HEALTH CONTINUES TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN A VARIETY OF WAYS. NATIVE HEALTH CONTINUES TO WORK WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY. ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY 'S ARIZONA@WORK PROVIDES SERVICES AT NATIVE HEALTH CENTRAL AND MESA. COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES SEES MANY CLIENTS EACH WEEK AND PROVIDES LEGAL ASSISTANCE AT NATIVE HEALTH CENTRAL. VETERANS EMPLOYMENT SERVICES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT NATIVE HEALTH CENTRAL. NATIVE HEALTH WORKS WITH ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY INTERNS IN PROVIDING A "CONCIERGE" SERVICE FOR INDIVIDUALS NEEDING HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND OTHER REFERRALS THROUGH THEIR HELPING HANDS PROGRAM. FOOD DISTRIBUTION CONTINUES TO BE A LARGE PROGRAM, WITH OVER NINE FOOD PROGRAMS AND TWO FOOD PANTRIES PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED FOOD TO THE COMMUNITY. OVER 1,000 FAMILIES UTILIZE NATIVE HEALTH'S FOOD PANTRY IN MESA. ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY PROGRAMS INCLUDE INDIGENOUS YOUNG CHEFS IN THE KITCHEN, HOLIDAY TURKEY DISTRIBUTIONS, INDIGENOUS FOOD BOX DISTRIBUTION, READ IT AND EAT, AND URBAN NATIVE AMERICAN SENIOR FOOD BOXES, TO NAME JUST A FEW. READ IT AND EAT CONTINUES TO BE A POPULAR PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. PARTICIPANTS ENJOY A STORY TIME, CRAFT, AND MAKE A HEALTHY, FUN RECIPE. PARTICIPANTS TAKE HOME A BAG OF HEALTHY PRODUCE. NATIVE HEALTH CONTINUES TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDES CULTURAL CLASSES AND TRADITIONAL COOKING PROGRAMS. OTHER HIGHLIGHTED PROGRAMS INCLUDE AN ANNUAL TRADITIONAL CHILDREN'S PAGEANT JUDGED BY TRIBAL ROYALTY AND ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE WITH OVER 8,000 ATTENDING. NATIVE HEALTH ALSO HAS A RADIO SHOW AND PODCAST, NATIVE TALK ARIZONA, WHICH AIRS ON A LOCAL PHOENIX RADIO STATION KRDP 90.7. NATIVE HEALTH'S SOCIAL MEDIA IS ACTIVE WITH OVER 25,000 FOLLOWERS. NATIVE HEALTH'S HARD-WORKING AND DEDICATED STAFF CONTINUE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN MANY WAYS. THERE ARE TOO MANY PROGRAMS TO LIST, BUT NATIVE HEALTH SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY IN WHAT THEY NEED AND WANT. NATIVE HEALTH CONTINUES TO MAKE AN IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY.
