TO PROMOTE COMMUNICATION, RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, AND APPLICATIONS IN THE FIELD OF MAGNETIC RESONANCE IN MEDICINE AND BIOLOGY AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS AND TO DEVELOP AND PROVIDE CHANNELS AND FACILITIES FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION IN THE FIELD.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
ANNUAL MEETING - THE ISMRM ANNUAL MEETING WAS HELD VIRTUALLY 15-20 MAY 2021 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. THE MEETING PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL COURSES FOR STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONAL DELEGATES, AS WELL AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MR COMMUNITY TO SHARE THEIR RESEARCH THROUGH ORAL PRESENTATIONS AND SCIENTIFIC POSTER SESSIONS. THE MEETING WAS ATTENDED BY 5,600 PROFESSIONAL DELEGATES, INCLUDING 281 EXHIBITION PERSONNEL.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES- AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2021, THE SOCIETY HAD 6,434 ISMRM MEMBERS PLUS 1,872 SMRT MEMBERS WORLDWIDE FOR A TOTAL OF 8,036 WHO RECEIVED MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS, INCLUDING VARIOUS NEWSLETTERS AND JOURNALS.
WORKSHOPS AND REGIONALS - THREE FACE-TO-FACE ISMRM WORKSHOP AND SEVEN SMRT VIRTUAL MEETINGS WERE HELD DURING THE YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2021, COVERING A VARIETY OF SUBJECTS RELATED TO MAGNETIC RESONANCE. THESE WORKSHOPS WERE ATTENDED BY HUNDREDS OF PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD INTERNATIONALLY.
