MENORAH PARK PROVIDES SUBSIDIZED HOUSING FOR MORE THAN 190 RESIDENTS IN 149 INDEPENDENT LIVING APARTMENTS IN A SINGLE BUILDING IN SAN FRANCISCO. IN ADDITION TO HOUSING, MENORAH PARK PROVIDES THE SERVICES OF A RUSSIAN-SPEAKING SOCIAL WORKER AND CHINESE-SPEAKING SOCIAL WORKER TO OUR MOSTLY MONOLINGUAL RESIDENTS. WE ALSO PROVIDE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES ONSITE AND OUT IN THE COMMUNITY AND A FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM.
MENORAH PARK GRANTS MORE THAN $1 MILLION ANNUALLY TO ORGANIZATIONS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA THAT WORK TO (1) PROVIDE LOW-INCOME HOUSING TO SENIORS, (2) KEEP LOW-INCOME SENIOR HOUSED SAFELY, (3) INNOVATE PROGRAMS TO HELP LOW-INCOME HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, AND (4) FOOD SECURITY. OUR GRANTS ARE ADMINISTERED THROUGH A DONOR ADVISED FUND AT THE SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION. THE SF FOUNDATION PROVIDES GUIDANCE TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON POTENTIAL GRANTEES.
