THE SPECIFIC AND PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION IS A CIVIC LEAGUE DEVOTED TO THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL WELFARE THROUGH CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. THIS IS ACHIEVED BY OFFERING MYRIAD CLASSES, THEATRE, DANCE AND MUSIC PERFORMANCES, AND OTHER COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES.

THE MVCC PROVIDES A LOCATION FOR A VARIETY OF SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES FOR AN ESTIMATED 600 VALLEY RESIDENTS. IT HOLDS CLASSES IN DANCE, YOGA, AIKIDO, TAI CHI, MUSIC, AND OTHER SUBJECTS, AS WELL AS SPONSORING VARIOUS DANCE, THEATRICAL, AND MUSIC PERFORMANCES. WE ALSO RENT THE HALL TO VARIOUS GROUPS FOR MEETINGS, PARTIES, AND OTHER SOCIAL EVENTS.
UNDER THE MVCC'S EDUCATIONAL FUNCTION, A PRESCHOOL FOR AGES 2-5 YEARS OF AGE SERVES UP TO TWO DOZEN CHILDREN IN THE MATTOLE VALLEY.
