COMMUNITY AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT - ACLU NC UNION MAINTAINS A ROBUST PROGRAM OFCOMMUNITY AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT REGULAR CALIFORNIANS TOPARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES TO DEFEND AND ADVANCE CIVIL LIBERTIES. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE TRAININGS, WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES AND VOTER EDUCATION. VOTER EDUCATION ENCOMPASSES A LOT OF THE ACLU NC UNIONS WORK. THE ACLU NC UNION ALSO MAINTAINS AND SUPPORTS A NETWORK OF LOCAL CHAPTERS THROUGHOUT NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, THAT ARE ACTIVE IN COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY PROJECTS.
