THE ENERGY PROGRAM HAS TWO COMPONENTS: (1) UTILITY ASSISTANCE FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS BY PROVIDING CREDITS ON ENERGY AND/OR WATER BILLS IN ALAMEDA COUNTY AND (2) WEATHERIZATION FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS BY PROVIDING HEALTH, SAFETY, AND IMPROVED ENERGY EFFICIENCY MEASURES IN APARTMENTS, MOBILE HOMES, AND HOUSES THROUGHOUT ALAMEDA COUNTY.
SPECTRUM COMMUNITY SERVICES PROVIDES NUTRITION PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR ALAMEDA COUNTY RESIDENTS AGES 60 AND OVER. THESE SERVICES INCLUDES THE SENIOR MEALS PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES FRESH, NUTRITIOUS MEALS IN NORTH, CENTRAL, AND SOUTH ALAMEDA COUNTY SERVING OVER 110,000 MEALS PER YEAR AND MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM (HOME DELIVERED) SERVES OVER 70,000 MEALS PER YEAR IN EAST ALAMEDA COUNTY.
THE FALL PREVENTION PROGRAM PROVIDES EDUCATION, ASSESSMENTS, AND EXERCISE CLASSES TO ASSIST ADULTS 60 YEARS AND OLDER WITH INJURY PREVENTION IN ALAMEDA COUNTY.
