CULMINATES WITH MASTER OF ART, MASTER OF BUDDHIST STUDIES OR MASTER OF DIVINITY DEGREES TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR BUDDHIST MINISTRY OR CHAPLAINCY. RANGE OF CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED AND CAN BE COMPLETED BASED ON STUDENT'S AREA OF SPECIALIZATION (BUDDHIST CHAPLAINCY, KYOSHI CERTIFICATE, BUDDHISM AND CONTEMPORARY PSYCHOLOGY, AND THERAVADA BUDDHIST STUDIES). SPONSOR PUBLIC LECTURES, SEMINARS, CONFERENCES AND SYMPOSIA, PUBLISH JOURNALS, TRANSLATE ARTICLES AND LECTURES.
DORMITORY-STYLE HOUSING IS MADE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS.
PUBLIC THEOLOGIES OF TECHNOLOGY AND PRESENCE IS A THREE-YEAR RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION PROGRAM FUNDED BY THE HENRY LUCE FOUNDATION. THE PROJECT HARNESSES AS PUBLIC THEOLOGY THE DEEP RESOURCES THAT THEOLOGY AND THE STUDY OF RELIGION POSSESS FOR ADDRESSING THE IMPACTS OF TECHNOLOGYY ON HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERPERSONAL PRESENCE. IT WILL IDENTIFY POINTS OF CONTACT BETWEEN THEOLOGIANS, TECHNOLOGISTS AND JOURNALISTS, THEREBY ENDABLING THEM TO AVAIL THEMSELVES OF THE PUBLICATIONS, SETS OF INSTITUTIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS, AND PEDAGOGICAL MODELS THAT THIS PROJECT WILL PRODUCE.
