OREGON RAIL HERITAGE CENTER PROVIDES FOR THE PRESERVATION, OPERATION AND PUBLIC ENJOYMENT OF PORTLAND'S HISTORIC LOCOMOTIVES, RAILROAD EQUIPMENT, AND ARTIFACTS, AND EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ABOUT OREGON'S RICH AND DIVERSE RAILROAD HISTORY.
PROVIDE PRODUCTS TO PATRONS AS HISTORICAL SOUVENIRS.
EACH AUTUMN, THE FOUNDATION OPERATES THE HOLIDAY EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE TO SOLD-OUT CROWDS. THIS EVENT CREATES LASTING MEMORIES AND GIVES RIDERS AN UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE RIDING A HISTORIC TRAIN ALONG WITH SANTA AND HIS TEAM OF ELVES. THE HOLIDAY EXPRESS TRAIN BOARDS AT OAKS PARK STATION AND TRAVELS THROUGH THE OAKS BOTTOM WILDLIFE REFUGE TO THE SPRINGWATER TRAIL GATEWAY.
