MINGEI INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM IS DEDICATED TO FURTHERING THE UNDERSTANDING OF 'ART OF THE PEOPLE' (MINGEI) FROM ALL ERAS AND CULTURES OF THE WORLD, COLLECTING, CONSERVING AND EXHIBITING USEFUL OBJECTS OF TIMELESS BEAUTY THAT ARE SATISFYING TO THE HUMAN SPIRIT.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE MUSEUM CARRIES OUT A BROAD PROGRAM OF RELEVANT EXHIBITIONS OF FOLK ART, CRAFT AND DESIGN AND RELATED EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS. THIS INCLUDES UP TO SIX CHANGING EXHBITIONS PER YEAR, ARTIST-LED WORKSHOPS, CLASSROOM INSTSRUCTION AT THE MUSEUM AND AT AREA SCHOOL SITES, AND A RANGE OF ENGAGING EXPERIENCES FOR VISITORS OF ALL AGES.
