EXHIBITS THAT BLEND ART AND TECHNOLOGY WITH THE AFRICAN TRADITION OF STORYTELLING TO TELL THE STORY OF ORIGINS, MIGRATION, ADAPTATION AND TRANSFORMATION OF THE CULTURES AND CULTURAL BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF AFRICAN DESCENDANTS THROUGH DISPLAY.


EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WITHIN THE REGION, INCLUDING SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS AND THEIR TEACHERS. INCLUDED IN THIS AREA ARE SPECIFIC EXHIBITS LINKED TO SPECIFIC CURRIUCA, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EDUCATORS' WORKSHOPS, A CORE CURRICULUM ON THE AFRICAN DIASPORA FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-12, SCHOOL GROUP TOURS AND FIELD TRIPS, AND A VOCATIONAL PREPAREDNESS TRAINING PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES PRACTICAL, SKILL BASED TRAINING IN DIGITAL MEDIA TO YOUTH FROM SCHOOLS IN UNDERSERVED BAY AREA COMMUNITIES.
