OPERATION OF THE SCIENCE AND SPACE CENTER, WHICH BRINGS THE EXCITEMENT OF SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY TO STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. EACH EXHIBIT FEATURES INTERACTIVE, HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AND SEARCH-AND-FIND GUIDES BASED ON STATE SCIENCE STANDARDS. THIS INCLUDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN, SUCH AS, THE CHALLENGER LEARNING CENTER, AN INTERACTIVE SPACE MISSION SIMULATOR CONSISTING OF A REALISTIC MISSION CONTROL AND SPACECRAFT. ALL THREE MISSION SCENARIOS SIMULATE AN ENTIRE NASA EXPLORATION MISSION FROM LAUNCH TO ACHIEVING THE MISSION OBJECTIVE.
