MT. SCOTT PARK CENTER FOR LEARNING IS AN ACCREDITED, DIPLOMA-BASED PROGRAM IN SOUTHEAST PORTLAND THAT PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL SETTING TAILORED TO THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 WHO STRUGGLE TO FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL IN THE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT.

MT. SCOTT PARK CENTER FOR LEARNING IS A NON-PROFIT, FULLY ACCREDITED EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVING STUDENTS WHO PREVIOUSLY STRUGGLED ACADEMICALLY OR SOCIALLY IN TRADITIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS. SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 1994, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PROVIDED A SAFE, NURTURING LEARNING COMMUNITY WHERE STUDENTS RECEIVE STRONG SUPPORT FOCUSING ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, IMPROVED SELF-ESTEEM AND PERSONAL GROWTH.2022-23 ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED:(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)-PROVIDED RELATIONSHIP-BASED HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION WITH INDIVIDUALIZED AND SMALL GROUP SUPPORT TO 204 PORTLAND-AREA STUDENTS, IN OUR SECOND FULL YEAR OF IN-PERSON LEARNING SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC.-CELEBRATED 32 GRADUATING SENIORS, THE SCHOOL'S LARGEST GRADUATING CLASS EVER.-ACHIEVED A 72% AVERAGE ATTENDANCE RATE FOR A STUDENT POPULATION THAT HAS HISTORICALLY STRUGGLED WITH ATTENDANCE.-80% OF GRADUATES LEFT MT. SCOTT WITH AN ACTIONABLE POST-SECONDARY PLAN FOR EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, OR CAREER TRAINING.-ACHIEVED AN 89% ON-TIME GRADUATION RATE.-SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A MAJOR HVAC UPGRADE OF OUR SCHOOL FACILITY, AS WELL AS A COMPLETE LED LIGHT MAKEOVER.-INSTALLED AN ADA LIFT IN THE BUILDING CONNECTING THE FIRST AND SECOND FLOORS OF THE BUILDING.-COMPLETED PRE-PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW YOUTH CENTER BUILDING NEXT TO THE SCHOOL. CONSTRUCTION IS TARGETED TO START IN JUNE OF 2025.-SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE SECOND FULL YEAR OF THE SCHOOL'S CELLPHONE-FREE YONDR PROGRAM. OVERALL STUDENT ENGAGEMENT CONTINUES TO IMPROVE.
