SEATTLE WALDORF SCHOOL IS THE LARGEST WALDORF SCHOOL IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST, ENROLLING NEARLY 300 STUDENTS ON THREE CAMPUSES IN THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA. SEATTLE WALDORF SCHOOL IS ROOTED IN THE EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENTIST AND PHILOSOPHER RUDOLF STEINER (1861-1925). OUR PRIMARY GOAL IS TO DEVELOP FREE THINKING, MORALLY RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS WITH SUPERLATIVE INTELLECTUAL AND SOCIAL CAPACITIES - TRAITS THAT ARE AS IMPORTANT IN TODAY'S INTERCONNECTED WORLD AS THEY WERE A CENTURY AGO. STUDENTS GAIN A RICH AND COMPLEX UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR WORLD THROUGH MATH AND MUSIC, HISTORY AND THEATER, SCIENCE, LITERATURE, PRACTICAL VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS, FESTIVALS, AND TRADITIONS._OUR CURRICULUM ALIGNS WITH THE STAGES OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND COGNITIVE AWAKENING IN KEY PHASES OF CHILDHOODBIRTH TO 7 YEARS, 7 TO 14, AND 14 TO 18.
